AP Untruths? The killing of Osama bin Laden during a raid by Navy SEALs on his hideout in Pakistan was the top news story of 2011, followed by Japan’s earthquake/tsunami/meltdown disaster, according to The Associated Press’ annual poll of U.S. editors and news directors. The death of bin Laden, the al-Qaida leader who masterminded the Sept. 11 terror attacks, received 128 first-place votes out of 247 ballots cast for the top 10 stories. The Japan disaster was next, with 60 first-place votes. Placing third were theArab Spring uprisings that rocked North Africa and the Middle East, while the European Union's financial turmoil was No. 4. – AP
Dominant Social Theme: These are the world’s most important news stories.
Free-Market Analysis: The Killing of bin Laden was voted top news story of 2011 and from our point of view it goes downhill from there. Having observed in detail how elite dominant social themes work, we’re well prepared to analyze this year’s top news stories.
What we will do in this article is briefly debunk the ones that we believe are factually false. In doing so, we shall surely make the point that the level of promotional manipulation and propaganda is alive and well within the ranks ofpower elite media.
But we also intend to make the point that (thanks to what we call the Internet Reformation) even modest media websites such as ours can easily follow the REAL conversation taking place these days – and anticipate various power elite promotions.
We think the results are shocking. Out of ten stories selected by the AP poll, six from our point of view are somewhat or palpably false. That is, they have been in some manner concocted to advance elite globalist goals. Here are the stories about which we have significant doubts.

Federal entrapment snares another dupe and brings hundreds of millions to the brink of war.

“…it would be far more preferable if the United States could cite an Iranian provocation as justification for the airstrikes before launching them. Clearly, the more outrageous, the more deadly, and the more unprovoked the Iranian action, the better off the United States would be. Of course, it would be very difficult for the United States to goad Iran into such a provocation without the rest of the world recognizing this game, which would then undermine it. (One method that would have some possibility of success would be to ratchet up covert regime change efforts in the hope that Tehran would retaliate overtly, or even semi-overtly, which could then be portrayed as an unprovoked act of Iranian aggression.)
This suggests that this option might benefit from being held in abeyance until such time as the Iranians made an appropriately provocative move, as they do from time to time. In that case, it would be less a determined policy to employ airstrikes and instead more of an opportunistic hope that Iran would provide the United States with the kind of provocation that would justify airstrikes. However, that would mean that the use of airstrikes could not be the primary U.S. policy toward Iran (even if it were Washington’s fervent preference), but merely an ancillary contingency to another option that would be the primary policy unless and until Iran provided the necessary pretext.” -page 84-85 of “Which Path to Persia?” Brookings Institution, 2009.
Apparently, manufacturing such a “necessary pretext” to unilaterally bomb a nation of 70 million is now also a part of US foreign policy toward Iran. An oafish fabrication announced this week by Attorney General Eric Holder, consisted of an Iranian-American used-car salesman that “allegedly” attempted to hire an undercover US DEA agent, posing as a Mexican Los Zetas gangster, to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the US. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would add “nobody could make that up, right?” Wrong….
We don’t need no stinkin’ new pigs. We got troubles enough with the stinkin’ old pigs.
This is an important video. WATCH IT.
Adam Kokesh speaks with Alex Jones about the creepy statist collectivists at OccupyDC who were chanting for more statist/government control while cursing at Adam for video taping their public demonstration on public property.
:::Complex social issues cannot & will not be solved by violence. The ROOT of the problem is the state/government that is based on the initiation of force/violence. Abolish The State:::
A corollary of this is the extreme importance of supporting the alternative media. Also, if it is just a question of repetition and affordability, social media sites like Tumblr make it possible to spread a message far and wide at little to no cost. Why is it though that so many tumblrs “like” important, well-presented messages but fail to reblog them? For a message to go viral a critical mass of rebloggers is necessary. Think about it. Help spread the message if you believe in it.
In today’s mainstream media….
…it is no longer about the quality of what is being said, but rather how many times one can afford to have their message repeated to the masses…
…reminds me of a quote from the nazi Joseph Goebbels:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

About Wake Up World
Information From A Different Perspective
This site is a labor of love.
For years, we’ve watched as western governments perpetrate crimes in the name of freedom, while tightening the censorship of opinions that contradict their political agenda.
We believe it’s time to show as many people as possible that the news fed to us via mass media is often created to serve a political agenda of manipulation, fear and control. By standing in our truth and sharing it with the world, we hope to contribute in some small way to creating the new, enlightened future we KNOW is on the horizon. We all just have to do our part.
Of course, we encourage discernment and critical thinking. Question any and all information that comes across your path, and that includes the information presented on this website. But most importantly go with what feels right in your heart.
This site simply represents our truth, and an alternative voice to the mass media.
These are the sources or kind of sources we should be seeking out for valid and effective guidance on political and economic matters. Beware the mainstream media. It’s filled with balderdash, hogwash and worse.
Explore this wide spectrum of sites for information outside mainstream media (and from around the world) on important issues (and media) — and for ways to become involved, politically, culturally and socially.
