To the President of The United States Of America.
We are ANONYMOUS.
We would like to ask you, Are you happy with what you have allowed the United States to become? The entire country a war zone, People standing up for their rights and the city governments allowing the brutal beating and arresting the citizens across America. By allowing this to happen you are a disgrace to the presidency. Any past president would put their political careers aside and focus on the city streets of his own country. So far you have done nothing about the thousands of people arrested in the city streets for exorcising their First Amendment rights, because you are too busy campaining for your 2nd term as president. Stop and listen to the people you took an oath to uphold, Stop treating the people of America like terrorists with the building of FEMA camps to house Americans that stand up against political control. Mr. President you had a dream of change when you were first elected but clearly you have sold out to the corporate injustices that every American involved in the Occupy movement are speaking out against. You Mr. President are a FAILURE to AMERICA.
In fact you are building an ARMY, An ARMY of angry AMERICANS that will not allow the government to control every little aspect of their lives. It is only a matter of time before the people of America turn the tables and focus their revolution on True Freedom. And they will fight for it. By allowing the indefinite detention bill to pass you will turn EVERY citizen of America into a soldier, and the people of the United States will seek justice. America is not a war zone but you are going to allow it to become one if you do not address the issues at hand. This is a message that will not be unheard. Mr. President if you pass the indefinite detention bill you will be throwing the United States Constitution out the window, and by doing so will only result in the FAILURE of the United States. There are not enough people in the US armed Forces to stop every American citizen that will be closing in on the government buildings if you do not put the US Constitution FIRST!
By allowing this bill to pass you will make every American citizen ANONYMOUS.
And for that injustice, the people will rise against you and scream ” Give me freedom, or give me death “
We are ANONYMOUS.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
By now it is common knowledge that President Obama signed the NDAA into law on New Year’s Eve while the rest of us were celebrating the arrival of the New Year which we hoped would be better than the old one. Big government plainly has its own agenda though. Which makes this Anonymous video from December, 2011 all the more important to view now.
Anonymous - Operation Black March
Thursday, March 1st 2012 to Saturday 31st March 2012
With the continuing campaigns for Internet-censoring litigation such as SOPA and PIPA, and the closure of sites such as Megaupload under allegations of ‘piracy’ and ‘conspiracy’ the time has come to take a stand against music, film and media companies’ lobbyists.
The only way is to hit them where it truly hurts.
Their profit margins.
March 2012 is the end of the 1st quarter in economic reports worldwide.
Do not buy a single record. Do not download a single song, legally or illegally. Do not go to see a single film in cinemas, or download a copy, Do not buy a DVD in the stores. Do not buy a videogame. Do not buy a single book or magazine.
Wait the 4 weeks to buy them in April: see the film later, etc. Holding out for just 4 weeks, maximum, will leave a gaping hole in media and entertainment companies’ profits for the 1st quarter, an economic hit which will in turn be observed by governments worldwide as stocks and shares will blip from a large enough loss of incomes.
This action can give a statement of intent:
“We will not tolerate the Media Industries’ lobbying for legistation which will censor the internet.” Regarding Black March: If you want to do something that makes a statement, consider shifting your money not only away from corporate media but to independent media. Buy comics published by someone other than DC and Marvel. Buy books from small and independent presses. Support independent production companies who fight to stay independent and fan-focused. Better yet, buy things directly from creators and artisans. Support independent retailers. Don’t just blanket punish media producers and distributors—refocus those resources into supporting the ones who espouse and depend on free exchange of information and ideas. Because those are the people preserving intellectual freedom. Those are the people creating work of substance. And those are the people struggling to make a living, because they aren’t bankrolled by the Corporate Elite lobbying for SOPA and PIPA.(by Anonym0usNews)

_______________
Citizens of the World.
We are Anonymous.
We have been watching recent events as they have slowly but surely unfolded, from the distortion and destruction of the first amendment to legalize and justify political bribery, to the dawn of a new political struggle consisting of millions of citizens crying out in indignation at this misappropriation of the judicial system, and to the very proposal of the so called, “Stop Online Piracy Act”, SOPA, without any concern to ethicality, morality, or responsibility. We have witnessed the recent actions this ‘Corporatocratic’ government has taken the means by which it has justified shutting down megaupload.com, a site that served, and continues to serve, as a very legitimate means of transferring information.
Suffice to say, we are angry.
These recent actions directly oppose the values we uphold, as well as the values of the founding fathers of the United States government. The freedom of information must never be infringed upon, and that the government exists to serve the will of the people, not the will of the financial elite.
They have already been forewarned of the technology at our disposal to defend our right to access information. The legislative entities and Governmental bodies that attempt to impose their law upon what is not theirs need to be forced to understand that we arer a sovereign entity beyond your control.
We therefore have declared as one collective, that the cyberspace domain be independent from the United States government and from any tyrannical laws they seek to impose upon us.
They claim there are problems amongst us that need to be solved. They use this as an excuse to invade our precincts.
They are wrong.
We are creating a world where anyone, anywhere, may express his or her beliefs, no matter how singular, without fear of retribution or of being coerced into silence or conformity.
Their legal concepts of property, expression, identity, movement, and context do not apply to us. They are all based on matter, and there is no matter here. We are a sovereign nation, and we intend on staying as such.
Citizens of the Global Community, join us. Let us defend our home, the internet.
Operation Revenge, engaged.
Operation Megaupload, engaged.
Operation Blackout, engaged.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not Forgive.
We do not Forget.
To the United States Government, you should’ve expected us.
As ACTA Gets Signed, Europeans Protest
Chris Richardson | January 27, 2012
At a ceremony in Tokyo, Japan, more members of the European Union signed ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement), ratifying the treaty for the countries that signed it. However, because the European Union parliament has yet to weigh in, ACTA is not currently binding, as in, it’s not a “global law,” yet, anyway.
The European Union parliament, according to The Guardian, is scheduled to debate ACTA (pdf) this summer.
Procedural processes aside, it’s clear the treaty has a coalition of support as international governments race to apparently rescue the downtrodden entertainment industry, masked in a treaty of intellectual property protection. Speaking of masks, there has been some push-back from EU citizens in a number of areas, including Poland and France.
A video released by Anonymous in 2009, all the more relevant to the present day and the threat facing the Internet and freedom of information now.
